What do you do when you lose your inspiration?

When you do get back to the PC, try writing something, anything, that doesn't have to be any good.

You can instantly discard it, it just helps get your mind warmed up and hopefully the second thing you write will be a decent idea for your blog.

This has been happening to me for quite some time now.

But as I have to now serious about blogging, I tend to find my topics in forums where people are posting for a solutions.

They ask, I research and make a post on the fix/solution.

Usually if I don't know what to write I read others blogs tell I find something that inspires me. Cause my blog is a religious blog I usually am reading a book so I will go to a book and quote some stuff from it and write about what I thought of it. If I still haven't come up with something I usually just ask my readers what they would like to read.

Stop and start writing on a piece of paper. Use stream of consciousness until an idea starts to coalesce.

Experience life.
Get out there and do things.

I used to go to school, come home and blog, and that was it. Never realizing that this writer's block I got sometimes was due mostly to the fact that I was not experiencing anything.

Do some drugs -- take some rides -- fly a kite in the middle of winter.
Shake it up -- mix it up -- be crazy.

If you don't know what to blog about then blog about what you know. When I can't think of anything to write about I look at my wife, my children, my students, etc...Or worse comes to worse, do something crazy and blog about it.

Personally, I choose to pay if forward. I've started featuring Remarkable Bloggers©, but there's a kicker to this all. Read the post and see what you think. Also, the post prior to it. I did a guest post at Inspirit on just this topic Bloggers Block. That might be a good read for you as well.
