Default Blogging Loneliness

So I was doing a search for keyterms related to blogging and blogging loneliness came up amongst others...

What do you think blogging loneliness is? When no one visits or leaves a comment or just the feeling of isolation some bloggers have by NOT joining a forum? :lurk-2:

Also let's see how long it takes for this to get to #1 on SE's and for some lonely bloggers to find some new friends

I think it may be also about working from home, when you work from home you don't make the same 'in real life' connections you would make in an office. Full time blogging can really limit your social life

Like with me, I have worked from home since I moved here, so I never got a chance to make connections, aside from my husbands employees, and I cant really hang out with them (the boss's wife makes people nervous) I have met one friend, and she is ALL i have in terms of social life outside of the internet.

And I agree with your definition as well, not getting comments and not being a part of a group somewhere has to be hard.

I don't work from home but I do work in isolation with one other co-worker so I feel what you're saying... Lot's of days alone in the office and in the beginning you often feel like you're talking but no one is even listening / in range to hear it. (When your blog is getting almost no traffic in the beginning).

Pretty cool for a post I made this morning!

I think blogging loneliness is a feeling you get when your blog doesn't have many visitors. My blogs do ok traffic wise but nobody ever seems to leave comments.

I hear ya, I think we all experience at some point or another. Even with a successful blog / site... Say this forum for example. Some days it's bustling; other days it feels ghost townish...

Default blogging loneliness

I guess since writing is a lonely thing to do, you really can't do it with others I can imagine why it gets on the google keywords list. I bet some people blog to end loneliness, to not be lonely, to get people to comment and join in an idea.
That is probably what makes this place so good, 1000 lonely bloggers all together making a happy community all in all.

Blogging loneliness could mean the effect on ones psyche, having a lack of knowledgeable people around you that really get it, or understand what you are trying to accomplish in the new marketing technology department. A total lack of respect on the basics of blogging and social networking..

I think that "blogging loneliness" relates to a blog who has proved to be useless, without content and has been isolated in a part of the blogosphere where he doesn't have traffic,no one reads it and no one comments it.

I would have though that blogging lonliness refered the the feling that nobody reads, likes or cares about what you have to say in your blog and that you're failing miserable at what you're trying to do and nobody understands etc (downward spiral continues)
