Flash Drive Offers Automatic Online Backup

SanDisk Corporation of Milpitas, California, today announced Cruzer Titanium Plus, a USB flash drive that offers automatic online backup for every file copied to the drive. Cruzer Titanium Plus, with a capacity of four gigabytes (GB), is the first flash memory product from SanDisk to offer online backup. Available in the U.S. in March with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $59.99, the drive comes with six months of free online backup service. After users create a password-protected online account, any file copied to the drive is automatically backed up online.

First I've really heard of this....is it something you'd use?

That's pretty cool, I have a program that recovers all the files from a flash drive or camera card if it ever goes corrupt. The online thing sounds even better though.

That is pretty cool. Just last night I had a vision of a method that you can download like you would TO your PC but to a virtual drive. Say you're at work or something. Wait does that already exist!?

I would use this in a heartbeat. I have had two or three laptops hard drive crash on me and I lost everything. I have thought about purchasing an external hard drive but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Using the flash drive will be a lot easier to travel with than an external hard drive. So I may look in to buying this. I wonder what the monthly fee will be for that service?
