Do you think blogging is a very lonely job?

I say that because the more views your blog gets the more chance there is for someone to comment and start a discussion.

If you only get 4 visits a day it's very unlikely someone will leave a comment that will start discussion

However if you get 1000 visits a day there is an excellent chance people will comment which makes the blog more busy and the writer less lonely.

Remember if nobody reads your blog, you are in essence talking to yourself.

Interesting. So I guess I'm still lonely because I only have 200+ visits a day. Hahaha....

That is good for you! I think I'm person who get bored easily, thus like to be stay alone. After staying alone for a while, then feel lonely. lol!

Maybe you just need to make some new friends? Really get to know some other bloggers or some of your commenters, for example.

I think it depends on the type of blog you write. I write a travel blog and although it is more factual than personal I enjoy listening to other peoples travel stories or researching travel locations. I don't have many views on my blog each day - the highest this week has been 60 and the lowest 4 - it doesn't make me feel lonely though. I blog about what I love - travelling. If I blogged about a subject that I didn't enjoy I would probably be begging people to visit and comment just for my sanity. I think the trick is to write about something you love - it pushes the loneliness aside even for a little while

Definitely I think its not. I mean believe it or not, blogging has improved my social skills a lot and i doubled my friends because of it. ;-)

I don't I still have a life outside of blogging...a crazy busy one. Actually, its a way to keep out of trouble. My boyfriend is long distance...and its about to get longer he's being deployed again to Afghanistan
