O.k. you blogging maniacs. I've really enjoyed the past couple of weeks getting to know the community and seeing a lot of members blogs. Thanks to everyone for for a great place to hang out!

I am fortunate to not be tied to a day job, so I spend a lot of time reading blogs. As you may have seen me write in other posts, I feel blogs give me a good insight into what the everyday person is going through in life, so thanks for sharing!

Blogging is great, but a small piece of advice I might offer up to everyone is that once in awhile its great for the body, mind and soul to step back and enjoy other activities. I am an avid long-distance hiker and backpacker, so I am going on a 5-day backpack trip in Yellowstone National Park, where I just happen to live close by. So while you good folks are creating lots of great content for me to catch up on while I am tripping from Old Faithful to Bechler Meadows Ranger Station, I'll be enjoying the only activity that means more to me than blogging!

Well bkpkgene, how did that backpacking trip work out for ya'?

Well Bloggeries, let me tell you, it didn't. Nothing like waking up Sunday morning to two inches of snowy slush made worse by a driving rain. Then we caught up with a Park Ranger who was on his way out who politely 'advised' us to return, as rain, snow and thunderstorms were expected for the next few days with accumulating snow. For those of you not familiar with gub'ment speak, that was secret code for --we're gonna' close the trail due to weather issues, leave.-- Taxpayer dollars at work.

C'mon bkpkgene, it's summer, how could there be snow? Well Bloggeries, it's Wyoming. We have summer from July 1 to July 31. Then winter starts.

Anywho, I am back way early and will be catching up. Thanks Kai, enjoyed the visit. For those who were kind enough to ask for reviews, I have your requests and will get to them in the order they arrived.

Too bad your trip didn't work out the way you wanted to. I know how this feels and yeah, it totally sucks.

Looking at the bright side though: You found all those people who're begging for a blog review when you had to come back way too early :p
