 Where are your visitors from?
Looking at my analytics, around 80% of my traffic is from the US. Is this the same for everyone else, what country or region sends you the majority of your visitors?

About 60% of my traffic is from the US, although I'd say something like 85% is from predominantly English speaking countries in general (England, Australia, Canada, etc). For the first couple years, I think a larger percentage of my hits came from the US. Later on, I started picking up more international traffic.

Although my blog is still quite "young" it appears to have visitors from the US and Australia.

About 60% from the UK then 30% from the US The rest are fairly random

I think that its quite common for a large readership from the US. Its usually relates to the language ;-)
