I just got a page rank!

I decided to check Page rank checker and found that my site has a page rank of 1! After finding this out I'm now wondering what does this mean and is 1 the best or is 10 the best?

10 would be the best, but unless you're absolutely huge and popular, you won't find yourself in that range ever. 1 is almost as low as you can get, but just having one means you're getting somewhere and that search engines know you exist, etc. Aiming for 3 and 4 is good and you'll find a huge array of blogs in that area.

Sorry to p!** on your bonfire. Most people and sites are PR1. PR10 is the highest and I think only Google is that, not even facebook. Always can dream.

Don't get too obsessed with PageRank - it's largely just fools gold.

Concentrate on building relevant backlinks to your site, and worry more about traffic and conversions than PageRank.

Hey now, it's still exciting to finally be ranked....regardless of rank. Yes, serps/traffic matter more, but having a PR means a lot, too. No need in being the buzz kill. :P
