I keep reading about how you should ping your blog to blog search engines, etc., but I have no idea what that means. Obviously, I am new to this and need some explanations. Thanks for your help.

Sites like pingomatic "tell" servers that your page has been updated. Whether or not it's necessary, I've seen both sides of the argument. Either way it seems like search engines will get to you when they want to. |

I used to ping my posts all the time but I've been forgetting to do it for months and I've not noticed any changes I have to say.

I signed up with ping-o-matic. I'm not sure how to tell if it's working, though.

I always ping my site everytime I have a new post but I don't know what really does. Now I get it..thanks to the one who asked...

I have registered with ping-o-matic n send pings after post new content..will it help if i register on more than one of these ping websites? or is ping-o-matic enough?
