Default Cooking some ribs, chicken and sausage

I had the honor to cook for my buddies wedding. My wife and I cut the ribs into sections the night before and seasoned them up. The chicken was seasoned with some cajun spices right when it was put on.

That looks like quite a feast. Makes me hungry just looking at it. Btw, that is a very impressive barbecue pit. Definitely among the largest that I have seen.

I would love to have a barbecue pit. I bet I could have a big party with something like that. All I'd have to do is somehow get me a full sized pig. Anyone know any good butcher shops in NC?

I'm sitting here starving, well not starving but getting there. Just showed some people I'm with and they said "That guy's doing it right".

On that note, cool video and I'm off to go get some food, not BBQ (don't have one here) but meat of some kind.

Those custom pits can go for thousands. If you ever find yourself in an SEC college town on a Saturday during football season, you'll see some ridiculous pit rigs. I try not to tailgate near them because the smell is torture if you can't eat any of it.

Thanks guy. Before I got into computers, I spent 14 years in the welding field. During that time I built American Society Of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certified heat exchangers and Pressure Vessels. They are used to refine crude oil into motor oil and gasoline - and other things.

I have always wanted a big pit, so a couple of years ago I started this project, and you see where it is at today. There are still some minor changes I need to make, bu its no big deal.

I thought about making the pits and selling them. If I had a trailer, and 2 tanks, I could build a full sized pit during a weekend. Your looking at a total build time of about 16 - 20 hours. 2 full 8 - 10 hour days would probably be enough time. I could probably put everything together in one day, then weld everything out the next day. The problem right now is that my welding machine is very small and can not stand up to heavy use. I have to weld for a few minutes, then let it cool down, weld for a few minutes, let it cool down. The welding machine I need is between $400 - $600 US Dollars.

Just in case yall did not notice, I also use the videos to promote my site. Youtube is my #2 source of targeted traffic and my #4 - #5 source of overall traffic.
