I made page 1 of google!

I took an article from my blog, submitted it to ezine and 2 weeks later I am on the 1st page of google if you ever search for 'how to get your whites whiter'.

I know that probably isnt that exciting to most, but I think it is pretty cool. I still cannot figure out how that helps me personally, but hey - something I can brag about today.

Long keyword phrases are good, but do you show up for any variations on that phrase?

Whiter whites shows my article near the top of page 2. Still pretty cool!

You could try writing a similar article and using your first as a reference. I've seen that work for some pages.

Still really good. Any way to track your incomming traffic? Are people actually searching for those terms?

Getting search engine results is always great. Search engine traffic can become one of your most reliable sources if you keep it up.

Great job, one long tail is how it all starts. Keep ranking for more and more long tail keywords and not only will your search engine traffic slowly increase, but your domain will also build authority in Google and naturally rank for other terms without much effort.
