Since I'm not too much of a programmer, I don't get all of them. I understand some though and those are the ones I laugh at. :P

Yeah, like I said, XKCD is a very programmer/science type of comic. You have to understand the terms and basis for what is going on and then you realize the amazing humor of the artist.

Probably, as a programmer myself, and not always up to date on pop culture there are comic strips that I wouldn't find funny for the same reason why some don't find XKCD funny: different jargon, and different background knowledge required.

I remember that one. Mad, but good
I found about about query sanitization on my own when I was programming a PHP web app. I was sitting there looking at the program and I was like: "Wait a minute...... what would happen if I entered this as input????" And then I realized that I had to rethink my security process a lot.

By "the members here," do you mean here at Bloggeries? If so, that's not the case at all! We have a huge variety of people from completely novices to experts in various fields. We all learn from each other, sharing ideas and knowledge. This just happened to be a comic that he thought the programmers here would enjoy.

Okay Jessi and all you programming folks.

I posted the real article about this comic.

How to Stop a Hacker - Don't Trust User Input - Experiment Garden

Have fun. I have some nice code snippets in there, including a great JavaScript rickroll attack, and how to block it.

HAHA. JavaScript rickroll attack. Nicely done. I love all his programming references.

Also lots of culture references. I particularly like the one about gullibility and blood on the ceiling.
