FYI, Fake Steve jobs did a horrible job of monetizing his site. He stuck up 1 adsense ad and some Amazon links. Given his traffic, he could have gotten CPM deals or private ad sales. Fact is, he didn't want to do anything other than write and didn't give any attention to the other parts of the business.

1. Passion. My blog is about the niche I love.
2. Community: I like interacting with like-minded people!
3. Profession. I am a student right now. I hate 9-5 jobs. I want to live independent life without job's headaches! So, I want to be a pro blogger!

I have 3 blogs, one on Weight Tips, one on Traffic and one on Online Business.

I use the first two to express my feelings and experience and to use them to help others.

The thirds on is mainly there for others to post guest articles about their online experiences for the benefit of my readers.

I've done it for many different reasons, but often to promote my writing. Blogs are a great way to bring people to your site as they are easy to update and many search engines love them.

And, to be honest, I hope at some point I become wicked rich with some brilliant idea no one has ever thought of before. But we'll see...

I blog because I like to. I pick subjects that interest me. i do hope to make money but i realize it take a while to build up. I am happy being patient.
