Because there are so many blogs and web sites about blogs on the internet, it can be tough to distinguish your blogging web site from all of the others. Whether you are starting up a new web site aimed at bloggers or whether you are looking to make your existing blogging site more distinctive, the key to building and maintaining a site that will capture the interest and attention of the blogging community is finding your niche. If you can fill a unique need in a way that no other web site does, you'll be able to build a lasting readership among web surfers. Once you have discovered a niche, you will still have a lot to do, but finding your place in the blogosphere is the place to begin. read more i hope this helps you start your own blog or improves the one you have |

Time for some tough love... The internet doesn't need another blog about blogging. Especially if you have no track record with which to prove you know what you are talking about. All the tips, advice, and suggestions I read on most blogs about blogging are the same warmed over, generic information I read everywhere else. Moreover, the blogs themselves never put it into practice because they don't have any traffic. Why would I take blogging advice from someone who gets less traffic than me??? Even the big sites like ProBlogger are just rehashing old information or common sense in most of their posts. There is only so much you can say, and it has all been said already. Why people insist on playing copycat with MMO and blogging blogs is beyond me. /rant |

I think you make a valid point, masterc19. My current blog is a mish-mash of freelance writing tips, current affairs and childhood stories. I know there are tons of blogs out there on freelance writing and current affairs. I would expect that mine is the only one where readers can also learn about the creative ways I found to torment my younger sisters. Seriously, though - a good niche is essential, solid writing skills are critical, and a little creativity never hurts. Studebaker |

LOL Yeah the web doesn't need another one BUT there are so many people who knows who you may be able to help. If you like doing it keep doing it. If you're doing it for traffic I'd try another niche.
