The problem with "Mirco Blogging" is that it is more commonly personal than it is a niche. People don't actively check their friends micro blogs everyday, I think it has just become more popular because it is very easily accessible and it's included in social networking sites. Blogs will probably never die, there typically better written and hold personal interest much easier

Agreed and you said it with it's more personal then niche. I'm sure some will emerge who strictly micro blog on a specific niche but people will always want to read the long version. Micro blogging is great for getting snippets of information out there; if recipients are interested they click through.

Blogs will stay because of unlimited information available in this world.
New planets are discovered thus new information for blogs. In the future, aliens might blog too. |

Blogs aren't going away and aren't dying.
I do hope that this "micro-blogging" dies though. I literally signed up for twitter TWO days ago and haven't done anything with it. I don't really see the point of it. I don't need to know what everyone is doing every five minutes and they don't need to know the same about me. Micro-blogging is L-A-M-E! |
