Google Adsense Referrals Retiring This August

Google recently acquired the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate operations in March 2008 and hence terminating the Adsense Referrals program this August last week.

They have officially announced this and advised all the users to remove the referral code from their websites or alternatively sign up with their partner, DoubleClick.

I'm gutted I've earnt more from referrals that from ad clicks in the last 6 months since installing adsense. I'm hoping the new program works jsut as well.

I'm just waiting to see when they roll the new stuff out. I'm really interested in seeing how good the new affiliate stuff turns out to be.

It doesn't bother me at all. Affiliate things for my niche were prewtty lousy.

I don't know what the difference with the new affilate thing will be. With t abit of luck there will still be the firefox with google tool bar

My guess is that they'll be offering more affiliates. Doubleclick is dedicated to it, adsense isn't.

I have a feeling they will be able to offer a better idea for it. Google Adsense referrals was a little ridiculous

You only earned $ when someone made $100 within 180 days, which if my math is correct = 55cents per day.

That is $16 a month, many don't do that.

Um. Google Adsense referrals is an affiliate service. They offered a couple hundred different affiliate links you could use, and which would add to your Adsense balance. It was a more or less fully functional affiliate service.
