Ack, no kidding! I hadn't been on the DP forum for months and months, and went back to spend a couple hours the other day - wow. I'm sure there's good stuff in there somewhere, and genuine people looking for help - but to find it among the spam is needle-in-haystack time. To my mind, that's the worst thing that spammers do: make it hard for real people to get their voices heard, and drive away people who don't have time or patience to wade through the spammers' crud. (Yeah, don't hold back here, RJ - tell us how you reeeealllllly feel about spam! )

I hear you!!! As an administrator it's a big issue of ok I want participation but the RIGHT kind of participation and sometimes when there is little you will take any but the wrong kind takes away from the good kind and well it's a mess. I'm really happy with the forum lately sure it would be best with more people and hopefully after Blog World it will be. I'd still rather a forum like this then one with thousands of useless posters posting BS to get signature links.

Also ... Things take time and bloggeries is growing quite a bit especially in the forum and lately with the directory when I hired an editor from Plurk.

Now that the resident QUEEN of Smiley's is ~100 away looks like I'll be able to start paying some people soon. Exciting. It's lonely up here as the only member with 1000+ posts.

Definitely possible as many of the accounts up there aren't used that often.
