Rules for Linking to Your Blog on Bloggeries Forum

Hello everyone,

I have been pretty lenient regarding people linking to their blogs on this site. The fact is everyone wants more traffic and more people to visit their blog but there is a right and wrong way to go about doing that.

Acceptable Linking:

All links to your blog besides signature should be in the SHOW OFF YOUR BLOG. If you do a re-design or some kind of upgrade please post again in the same thread you started originally; don't' worry it will get bumped to the top of the page. You get one thread and only one thread per blog. Also please don't post every new post you make; that is what the "Recent Blog" under your name is for. I will begin giving infractions to people who continually violate this rule . Please don't abuse this.

The only time you can post a link to a post on your blog is when someone asks a question and you give a legitimate answer and then say I also wrote about this in detail on my blog; here is the link. That is acceptable as it is helpful to the person who started the thread and the community in general.

Not Acceptable Linking:

Please do not start threads in Basics, Marketing or Money Online or any other forum which are basically just about a post you wrote. Imagine if everyone started doing that for every post? I'm seeing lots of "Learn how to do this"" and then a link directly to your post. I'm sorry but that is borderline spam. If you want people to read your blog then edit your signature and post a USEFUL reply. The irony is unless you make quality posts no one is going to click on your signature links because they assume that the quality of your blog is is the same quality as your posts... The one exception is exceptional tutorials. If you have written one please send me a private message and if it's great I'll add it to our Blogging Articles and Tutorials section. Please only send me a PM regarding this if it really is an in-depth tutorial.

I hope this clears some things up. These forums are here to help everyone find answers in a spam free environment. I know that you want to promote yourself and that is why the first section on this entire forum is dedicated to that.

They are fair rules Rob, especially the linking. Nothing irritates me more than seeing "Make money at my Link" lol.

if you write an article you have to PM Bloggeries for him to approve your work..

hehe that's actually a post from ~ a year ago.

For whatever reason the member above just decided to post on it. I'm glad they did just made it a sticky!

I should start searching the forum for threads like this as I'm sure I've probably gone over most everything at some point.
