Basically that is all you have to do than you XX-PUB blah

XX is normally your country so copy from the pub to the end and that is your publisher ID.

Not right away but I'll eventually one day maybe make the ads under first column taller and more present. I don't expect many members to click; it's mainly for guests who come through SE's who dont' find exactly what they want; why not offer them more selections?

You would be richer is you would also use the ads on your blog..

I make a healthy income with google adsense, initially it can be tough to generate income but once the traffic comes in, you just need to sit back and see the bucks flow in.

Some people make so much with it

If you have a great content site that ranks well for decent keywords adsense is a match made in heaven!

I know it's a good advice but I just can't bring myself to put ads on my blog. I hate ads. Really.

I'm getting used to the donation button, which I like now. I honestly wouldn't have though of putting one before reading this thread, so thanks guys !

But ads... I don't even thing it'd work on my blog, since it's a personal blog.

I think if you are going to put any ads on a personal blog... Kontera is definitely best. Very non intrusive if you make the link colors blend in.

Zhu you have to go to Google and set up an account. It is very simple, go to this site: www.google.com/adsense and follow the steps to set up an account. You will get your pub code by going through the account setup process.
