I use, and have used, Azoogleads.com, Neverblueads.com, PayPerPost.com, Cj.com, YPN, Bidvertiser.com and Projectwonderful.com.
Out of all of those, I would say that PPP, YPN and Neverblueads.com are the best for me, so far :icon_twisted: I am working on content and subscribers right now. Then the private ad sales will start. Sign up with as many programs as you can, you just never know which one will work for you.

I'd recommend avoiding text link ads or anything meant for the purpose of passing pagerank or solely search engine ranking tactics. It does undermine the search engines and if they find you doing it they will remove PR or maybe in some extreme cases... de-indexing. Once your PR has been removed if you don't change your style what logically comes next? If you lost your page rank you may STILL get search engine traffic but if you did have it your site would be higher most likely. Would suck to run a business where 90% of customers go to the white pages to find you but you're not there.
Are you here long term or short term? PPP etc can be done if you use no-follow. It SHOULD be about advertising after all. Basically everything you do think; am I being a responsible net citizen and would this pass a manual review of legitimate advertising? If no... scrap it. There are so many programs out there that there is something for everyone. If you have no traffic yet you should be focusing on THAT first then the advertising; it's the horse then cart

Mainly private ad sales for me - affiliates are bringing in next to nothing, but then again I haven't promoted too many things... yet

Right now I am making money with NeverBlueAds.com CPA Network.
I also make money with referrals to such programs. My latest blog post actually outlines making money with referrals in short form. Make Money With Referrals | Sukosaki.info It takes time, but if you show results with the program, it can be pretty easy money!

I have three money-making blogs. Nothing to write home about but I thought I'd share my insights here:
I have two 'good' blogs and a junk blog. By 'good' I mean that I actually care about the content, it's good, relevant, fresh content, friendly and usable to users. The 'junk' blog is one that I use solely for getting short-term exposure to currently hot keywords. Both methods generate Ad Revenue (AdSense). The good blogs get visits because of the content, and because people will actually refer others to the site. And because I can actually market those in forums or other blogs without getting slapped by anyone, because there's actual value to the site. The junk site works because of the volume of searches for certain keywords. I just grab a good one (purely intuitive, not 'well-researched' key phrases), slap it up and market it in about 6 minutes. It gets a short burst of traffic. The thing to remember is that, for the most part, your pages never go away. So even if no one is searching them, every once in a while someone will hit your page. If it's blended well for ads, you continue to get ad revenue. And if you steadily add to the content, you increase the potential earnings over time. For example, one of my junk posts continues to have steady search traffic. Other posts that I've never seen to really spike in profit still get visited from time to time. But now instead of having 4-5 pages getting visited from time to time, I have 100+. Keep adding new topics every day, and let's say that number gets to 1000+. The CTR might be small, but you can grow the denominator easily. One of the big money-makers for me, though, is linking to affiliate products from the blog. It makes more money than the ad revenue, and that's without really trying all that hard. Specifically Clickbank. Last edited by Ghalt; 02-25-2008 at 02:04 PM. |
