Default Easy / Fast / Inexpensive Web Store Options

This is for those who have web stores as part of or as an adjunct to their blog web sites.

I am continuously approached to have affiliate relationships with companies.

These have gotten me in the past ZERO revenue (Amazon, eBay, indivual companies).

Most of my monthly income is from paid advertisers.

I was thinking, what with the Christmas shopping season starting very, very soon, of somehow creating a 'web store' wherein I would post a collection of affiliate ads of companies I like.

Has anyone tried this before and if so with what success or lack thereof?

What did you do to set such a thing up? was it simply a page within your blog or was it a totally separate web store?

And, what software is out there that is REAL cheap or free for this?

Thanks for the thoughts and experiences,

Dan, I have an AMazon A Store set up, if that's what you're talking about. That's done by logging into Amazon Associates and setting it up there. You can put it on your blog, or have it standalone with a link.

If you're talking about multiple affiliates, a link page would be best. Anything else would be overkill.

Shopping cart software is available free, or even as a plugin to WordPress.

If I'm wrong in what you're talking about, please let me know.

WordPress Plugin, eh? I never thought about that one.

I have tried Amazon and eBay previously as ads on our site, but nada.

I'll have to look into yet another WordPress Plugin. I'd rather just send the visitor to the advertiser's site rather than get involved in setting up a web store with all of it's details. I'm just a simply country dude with a hammer and paint brush.

Thanks Michigal! You rock!

Dan
