I hear and read any number of references to "keywords" but I am totally ignorant of what the key words are and how to use them??

If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
I heard that selling text links is a sure fire way to get our Google PR reduced pretty quick? True/false?

And, why do firms / web sites prefer text links vs actual ads? I've never been able to figure that one out.

Thanks!

Two reasons that I am aware of. First, I believe that click through rates on text link ads is better than standalone advertisements which people are tuning out. Second, by buying a text link ad you are also buying Google Juice for that keyword.

Really peteranswers? Do you, or anyone of course , have any studies showing that text link ads have a superior CTR?

What about what I had heard that Google some how frowns on them and having text link ads can cause it to reduce the Google Page Rank?

Thanks!

it sounds like alot of people, not using the google blogger new plateform have issues regarding ad sense---course I am new at using ads on my blog, and I don't have a large readership--yet, but week by week my blog is growing, and I am seeing a few pennies here and there being added----Rome wasn't built in a day---pretty sure it took the better part of a week to get Rome up and running (lol)

I'm going to assume it's the Google link ads you're using! Image ads always work better so try that for a month! Also people that use image ads to advertise with Google tend to pay more per click I think! Some would also say it's your targeted keyword that simply might be low paying per click in general!

Google is very tricky!

Always play with your placement. I should be doing it WAY more then I currently am. http://www.patrickokeefe.com/ that's a great example.
