Default Type of Blog Dictates Adsense More then Traffic

This forum gets decent traffic; but I really don't make much on adsense.... Why? Well it's mainly blogging discussion and they typically aren't high paying keywords. Furthermore it's almost exclusively WEBMASTERS who come here. We all know what ads look like and typically never click.

I sold a Run of Site advertising campaign to someone on a business blog of mine and removed adsense. About a week ago I decided to add adsense again. Sure enough it made $3.11 yesterday alone. Needless to say I've started posting again.

What I'm getting at is certain types of blogs generate a higher price per click.

That tool is your friend; it will tell you what niches are worth entering which aren't. Might I add if you love a niche go for it but if your just looking for something to rack in some $$$ go for where the $$$ is.

Now a word of caution; don't think your the first person to "go where the money is"; with higher price per click you have more competition. I just got lucky I guess as I like home business discussion.

True. I use this tools extensively for my niche sites. It's probably the most accurate keyword research tool around too, although it just displays the the google stats only.

It also states what an advertiser would pay not what a publisher receives. That being said it still gives you an idea of the big money ones. Giving me a few ideas I must say .

Agreed, if you are looking to make money via Adsense, you need to research your niche to see if it is profitable. Some niches just don't pay, others pay well.

The blogging niche in general is very low paying. On my blog directory, I can get up to 100 clicks per day and I rarely break $10 per day, some days it's as low as .02 per click :-( I've even used Adsense section targeting and ever trick in the book to increase the eCPM.

On the other hand, my entrepeneur forum, lawyer database or credit card blog can get $5 in two or three clicks and have broke $50 in one day each for 1/10th the traffic of the blog directory.

CPA offers also do poorly in the blogging nich as well.
