I have changed them to not play automatically when someone visits.

AdToll offers the peel away ads. I hate them, the flickering lines, then the delay, then the hopelessly bad advert. What was ever wrong with the 468*60 banner... The rest of their service is still very good.

Auto playing video is another one I hate, dont know who does it, but hearing news headlines playing when you haven't even scrolled down to that bit of the page is really annoying.

And pay per play.... grrrr....

I've got a friend from college who runs a Porn site, and he finally got back to me. Apparently he uses Black Label Ads for his text ads, and a few other providers (I'm at work and don't want to check).

I still can't figure out what the in text ads are. Things like on this forum here. How they get Keywords highlighted no matter what it was posted from that link to ads.

Pretty much any ad that is in my way, plays automatically or is forcing me to click it. I want to be the one deciding if I am going to the advertisers page or not.

What kind of list do you have so far?

Looks like for now I've got:

Adtoll for those peel away pages
Black Label Ads (Just 'cause porno ads pay more, I may throw adsense beside them)
PayPerPlay
The Google Video Units, shoved in randomly and titled like a real blog post

Its a pretty pitiful list.

Hold up now- that's my company you're talking about Not everyone's a fan of in-text, but Kontera's got almost 50,000 partners who would argue otherwise (that site especially- I looked 'em up for fun after seeing your link, and I can't tell you what they make, but believe me- they're doing very well for themselves).

Look at it this way- you can increase site/blog revenues without having to allocate additional webpage “real-estate” for advertising at the content’s expense.

And from a user perspective, it's not like interstitials or pop-ups that are gonna bug you no matter what you do- ContentLinks are only activated by a mouse-over or click.

I personally hate the ones that pop up when you go to close a window. They are usually on some kind of selling page. When you click the X a window pops and goes " Are you sure you want to leave, we have a new special offer" .Then more windows pop up.

Uggggg.. it's such a headache..

Oh no, this is actually a list I'm making for my self of things to use. I've got a site I'm working on which completely disregards any kind of repeat viewership, I except to get almost 100% new hits every time. Its a little complicated, but the end result is that I need to squeeze every possible cent out of them while they're there, and that's why I was looking for a provider of those in text keyword thingies.

With this and the trolling are you looking to become the most annoying person on the web? I am certainly curious about what you are up to!
