This will always be an ongoing debate... personally, I think you should just stick a couple quick Adsense ads so you can prepare your readers for future ads... rather than surprising them with 15 ads at once...

I think you should monetize your blog from the start, just start out "tame" - If I open a blog and the whole top half of it is ads, or there is barely any content because of the ads, I don't even bother trying to read it.

i personaly monetize over time after i notice i get some recurring traffic as well as decent traffic that is not bouncing, place small ads at first and increase them and move them around to find the best ad positioning.
