Default Amazon Associates

Have people had much revenue with Amazon? I just tried the context links so I'll see how that pans out. I think I will only use product links for books so that people can see the cover.

I'm new to this advertising thing (and blogging to be honest), so I'm curious to see what others have experienced.

$0.00 year to date. I removed their ads from most of my sites.

Same for commission junction, $0.00 as of last night 6932 impressions, 205 clicks and not one purchase.

Don't take my bad results as gospel, I must be doing something wrong! Adsense makes me a little over $1.00 per day

Thanks for the info. I think paid ads are the way to go - of course you need traffic to get them!

I'm not completely familiar with the service, haven't really looked into it. However, it sounds like any other affiliate service, you send people there, if they make the purchase you get a cut. In that case, its going to be most helpful if you make a specific hint about to, tell people about why a given book is good, and why they should get it.

If you've got a wide range, and can get an affiliate link for any amazon product, I'd definitely consider writing up a post about some of my favorite movies, including links to the affiliate page.

Not really familiar with it either, but I'd trust it. The fact it's "amazon"

I've made money on it. If you have regulars it converts. The best I find if you review things

Hmm. I actually like the looks of this, I can definitely make use of it.

Is there a referral system for it? I think I'll sign up for this, and if I can make someone a little money that'd be great.

If I may ask did that $100 come through your blog or was it another method? If through blog was it a review you did?

Yes it's only from my blog and no it's not a review of a product. As you can see, I list the best video games deals so I earn when people buy from my blog. Btw go take a look at my blog: TFGBlog
