I agree with ckwoo, don't fill your blogs with too many banners. I know if I see to many (and they are all flashing), I just hit the back button.

Phil: Maybe add a poll to the first posts so people can vote if they're making nothing, something, lot's from a blogspot blog? Might be cool as this thread seems to get lot's of traffic; primarily from blogspot users I'm assuming.

I can see different opinions , and it is pretty normal. But as The University Kid said , and most of the people on this thread , getting your own domain and hosting is far better from owning a blospot.com blog. I will just point one reason , but there are hundreds more . Photos on blogspot blogs don`t index. Why ? Because they are hosted on picassa photo albums and they have private servers with private access. I got my own domain and hosting , it`s a matter of how people look at your blog. But no comments , there are blogs on blogger that have Alexa ranks between 3000 - 10,000. WOW

If someone has say a dozen blogs all on different subjects then it is not really practical to go out and buy hosting for them all it depends on what the individuals needs are.

The main reason for posting this was to see if money from blogging could be made with no start up cost. It appears it can be and you can rank very well but the more you earn the more risk there is by being hosted at blogspot. Like strongbow mentioned above, would hosting multiple blogs on one domain be a good idea?
