To jump in on this does it have to be a brand new blog? I have a blog I have been thinking of selling and I think it would be fun to do it with you guys. But it is not brand new. I don't want to have an unfair advantage.

As far as transferring files, with the kid said, except I would zip the folder before trying to email it.

a) Receive funds
b) Email files (for the website) to buyer.
c) Transfer domain (through GoDaddy/wherever it's regged).

As far as I know, the official "go" date is tomorrow, April 1st.

Its not so much of a competition though, as all of us working together with the express goal of selling our blogs on a given date. We'll have to see how it goes.

I've got my idea, and name (about to go register now). I think it'll give me quite a bit to talk about, which should be good, and I think it has the potential to get quite a following.

I'm wondering, how many of you are thinking about adopting a new/different persona for this project? I know I use a number of different Handles online, and like to use different ones to differentiate what I expect to do.

I think I'm going to to make up a page once I start this blog with a list of my handles and how they're used, just so I can keep track.

As a note for anyone who waited until the last moment to get started like I did, there's a really good deal at godaddy that seems perfect for this. You can get 2 months of hosting, and the domain name for, $9.91, after taxes and the like. I'd suggest going through the ad at the top, so you can get bloggeries the extra cash, and then register the *.com name. Right now they're running a promotion, if you register certain .tlds, which includes *.com, and purchase a second product from them, the first year of the domain name is only $1.99. They also offer a super cheap hosting service which is $4.29 a month for 2 months, which qualifies for the second product. Use the code CJCNOT695 for an 10% off (Sure, its only a dollar, but that adds up) and you're left with $9.91 for 2 months of service.

A word of warning to anyone who uses this service: it doesn't come with any sort of fantisco or similar product. Any blogging software will have to be installed by hand. (Which I'll be willing to do for a small charge).

And if you already have your own hosting, you can just host it on your own server

But I guess today is the first official day and I'm very behind lol... but yes, it's a friendly competition to see who can sell their site for the most. But it's really a cross promoting project in which we all help each other out because we should ALL benefit from it.

Though, I would like to know all the official people in this project so I can add them to my blogroll, cross promote, comment on their blogs, etc.

Well, lets get this started. My blog, for the competition, is called The Other MMO- Playing the internet like a game. I'm going to blog about the correlations between playing MMOs and MMOs, or Massively Multiplayer Online Games and Making Money Online. I think its a rather clever concept, I'll have to see how it plays out. Its not up and ready yet, mainly because GoDaddy decided to crap out on me, right when I'm going to upload my first post...

-EDIT- Figures, as soon as I say something it goes up.

As you can see, it still needs work. I haven't put ads in yet, and I still need to get a logo made up for it. I'm going to try and get that done today. If you've got any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I believe at the moment it's U, Me, Skolor which have confirmed - Sukosaki was interested too, will wait for him to post (as with a couple others).

It's not really a competition, more a challenge... I don't mind if I finish last, as long as I get a few grand

hello gentlemen.

I am in with bells on. My blog is for beginners making money online (i hate it, but I am going to try another route from sukosaki.info) and the domain is CookieMoney.com - Learn the ways I put Money in my Cookie Jar - of course, money for my cookie jar.

I think it is a clever title and I think a domain with MONEY in it will sell no doubt, IMO.

I don't plan to be making much money, enough to fill my cookie jar, so to speak. Once everyone posts here I would like to get a blogroll as well!
