Yup, no promoting until the 1st. Other than that you can do whatever you want, try and get a good bit on there so you've got content.
This should be a good chance to test out a couple of things I've been wanting to try, but don't have enough current data for my blog yet to get results.

Okay I'm in!
I've never tried to sell a blog before, do you have a good idea of where to do that part of the challenge?

@ Adam, the best place to sell any website worth more than $100 is Sitepoint.
At Sitepoint you'd easily get at least 30 - 70% more than you would at DP ![]()

I figure while we're asking questions, how much experience do you all have with this kind of stuff, what kind of selling rate should we expect after two months?
While I'm asking, have any of you come up with a name yet?

@ Skolor, the standard metric used is monthly revenue x 10. Of course, this can change depending on various factors like PR, Alexa, RSS and whatnot.
MMO/Blogging Tips blogs were going for as much as $30/subscriber a while ago, which is just insane... it's decreased a bit, however $10/subscriber is probably the amount used now, which is what SEONoobs.com sold for and I'd wager BloggingExperiment sold for too (low $xx,xxx). If you promote it right, there's no reason why it won't be worth low $x,xxx which is pretty decent I think. As for the domain name, I bought the domain MMOKid.com specifically to flip - just thought I'd ask Bloggeries members if they'd want to take part with me. ![]() Re experience, I've never flipped blogs ![]() @ Jay, aye, let's hope everyone learns as much as possible. The difference between Sitepoint and DP despite the listing fee for the former is immense... I put up a website for sale on DP which received a maximum bid of $200 on DP... the same website sold within a week for $1,550 on Sitepoint. ![]()
