Indeed the guy who was like 100 feet from the docks where the boats came in with tones of shovels... Always slept in a warm bed near the bar and $$$ was never far.

Heh. Who cares if you win or not? I'll be happy just being able to make a good sale. This will probably be a real good marketing strategy, all of us working together and cross-promoting. If we push each others in the actual blog, and work on pushing ourselves outside of it it should go very well indeed.

Yeah, I'm thinking fairly similarly. I don't have a lot of the skills necessary to try this. I don't have a lot of knowledge in trying to flip anything at all. But when better than a contest to start?

@ Skolor, I like to work on projects ASAP... put things off, and I can near guarantee I won't do it - how does a week from now sound? Gives people time to buy a domain, get up some content... and marketing starts after a week.

@ Suko, the more interest the better. The ultimate goal is to make money and have fun doing so - this strikes me that it could be like it.

As for what was mentioned above, I do agree - I personally don't care if I finish last as long as it sells well, and with everyone networking, building buzz and whatnot it could work. Re choosing the next theme, sounds good... let's hope no one too eccentric wins or else we'll have to run a competition where the topic is something weird...
