I like that post, I read through it and you have some good points. I like using those advertising programs that you mentioned as an advertiser, but not as a webmaster/publisher.
I think that you can find some great space in that way.

Thanks for the tips!

Wait, isn't that part of what I said in my post?

And Netfool, no problem. Either way, it takes some work if you want to cut out the middlemen.

The key is just marketing guys

Work on writing decent (controversial ones work even better) posts, and getting traffic to them.

TUK gets a lot more advertising requests than some 'bigger' blogs solely because of the amount of comments/post... although my 125s cost only $5/less than Tyler Cruz, and I've got around 1/4th of his RSS count, people are queuing up because the amount of comments make TUK look like a decent blog to advertise on (w/ interactive visitors who are more likely to buy something).

Comments are key

we also get a nice amount of comments at blogaboutyourblog.com. Just have to market that advertising better I suppose

My 125x125 is pretty cheap, it's currently $15 less than TUK But I'm getting there... anyone interested, let me know!

But hey Jason, now aren't you glad I switched over to WP... comments are gonna be coming in even more now! Woohoo!
