Default How often should you submit posts?

I am a new blogger. How often should I submit posts and to whom, to increase the general knowledge that my blog exists?

Hi PowerTeacher! That's up to you. What are your plans for your blog? Do you have any goals? Some of my blogs I write to weekly (either 2 or 3 times a week or at least once a week) and others monthly. It depends on my time, inspiration, and what my focus is. Am I blogging for an audience or purely blogging because I like to write? No hard and fast rules.

Register with technorati.com and if you go to soho-life.com you'll find a list of blog submission directories. There are also others listed here at this forum. That will get you listed and started.

Make it a habit to visit other people's blogs and leave comments - make sure you include your blog URL too. Comments should be relevant or perhaps add to the blogpost in some way - people will come visit your blog if they like what you have to say in comments elsewhere. And of course, belonging to forums like this one helps a great deal too.

Kathie just gave some good advice.

I'd post on blogengage.com , postonfire.com and bloggingzoom.com

Furthermore if you write something compelling and interesting sometimes you can post in forums for discussion. Beware though it may look spammy and cause others to think negatively of you and your ventures so do it sparingly. All spam gets deleted by the mods anyways.

Welcome and best of luck blogging,

I would try to post 2-4 times a week if you are writing some in-depth articles.
If you are more of a casual blogger, go for an everyday approach.

Try to never do multiple posts in one day, you will turn off readers if you are new

Try and post as frequently as you can with the emphasis on quality content but at least say three times per week.

Welcome and best of luck blogging,
What Rob is trying to tell you is to spam ONLY his forum :icon_twisted: lol... just playing, don't delete my account!

But I would post ONLY your quality posts and that doesn't necessarily mean every single post... but if you ARE looking for a list of social sites to submit your blog to, check out this post I wrote a little while back.
