Adsense doesn't do much for me....I mainly have it as the "fill" advertiser for when my AdsDaq ads don't display.

I am actively looking for AdSense alternatives right now. It took me just over a year to make $50, so I have to make a decision: do I continue to waste the space until I (eventually) reach the $100 threshold? Or do I cut my losses, and install something that will (hopefully) make me more than $50/yr? Right now, I am leaning heavily towards the latter option. I'll take any suggestions that you may wish to put forward Thanks, Marc |

I have been banned from Adsense for a while now. I really makes you find other ways to monetize your blog. YPN, blows and bidvertiser is a lot of work to manage. What do I do to monetize? Well, I do the affiliate thing. $400 for one post in under 6 months alone. And that is only ONE post. I wrote up a review on Neverblueads.com, if you'd like to read it. Free to join and there are plenty of offers to promote. Check it out here: NeverBlueAds.com Review | Sukosaki.info Good luck. There are other affiliate networks too (posts on my blog about most of them), but NeverBlueAds works best for me so far.

Sukosaki: thanks for the link, I will be checking that out, as well as your blog :-) bobbytoat: you are right in one respect, my traffic sucks, heh. It's my fault, as to date I have been fairly lazy about it, only really starting to work on it in the last few weeks. However, I really don't like the lack of control that I have with AdSense. My general consensus at this time is to watch and wait, but I do want some other revenue streams available to me, if for no other reason than not putting all my eggs in one basket. Thanks for the fast repies :-) Cheers, Marc |

hi Marc, I don't mean that you shouldn't get other streams of revenue, by all means go promote affiliate programs, go join paid to post programs and other non-contextual ads! What I am suggesting is not to ditch AdSense and go install other alternative contextual ads, having more than 1 contextual ads are not allowed too. Good luck on reaching the other $50 |

I'm new to all this and have recently put adsense on my blog. I will leave it there for a little while and am consider setting up a 2nd site to include more adsense. Will I keep it? Like someone said earlier in the post, it depends on the site. If for example I set up and SEO blog, the chances are I won'd include adsnse, why? Well the people visiting will be able to detect the adsense more easily and why would they click on it?
