I thinks its possible and most Blog Admins shows proof because now-a-days nobody believes anybody without actual proof so ill say they are real.

I think there are a lot of fakes and a lot of legit. If you don't believe someone ask for details. Most sites that only talk about making money disclose everything though.

As haroon said most show proof as most of us don't believe anything anymore unless we see proof.

Yes, the issue I see is that most proof is usually a screenshot of an account balance page or a scanned image of a check. These can easily be doctored in photoshop. I guess it really doesn't matter though if they actually make what they claim to make or not. As long as I find the sites content interesting, I'll keep coming back to read!

I think Tim hit the nail on the head. In blogging, your reputation is all you have. I never claim to make a fortune, but I do claim to make "my monthly beer money" on my blog. Sure, it's not enough to retire on, but it's a decent amount. That comes from being helpful, responsive, and not telling porkies.

what is the point to fake our earnings?
i have a blog, and it does some bucks a month (sadly), and i see no point on saying that i make $1000 a month.... to achieve what? "oh this guy makes big bucks, let me visit him more often tosee what he says about making money!"
im a guy that likes to try things, and if i don't make money while trying then i will say it with no problem, and share the experience to let others learn from my mistakes.
i believe in the majority of blogs around that claim to make good money. Sadly there are still a few that aren't honest...

"oh this guy makes big bucks, let me visit him more often tosee what he says about making money!"

In a nutshell... that is exactly the purpose of exaggerating gains.

i also believe that some of the bloggers are earning thousands on their blog. it is really not impossible with the right attitude, good content and right marketing strategy and of course playing fair.
