Too much information gets the reader tired, like the in-depth articles. And long frontpage with lot of posts will also tire the reader but will make that page slow, and annoying browsing

It's funny that you say that because I thought the same exact thing until I guest posted on Tyler Cruz's blog and he wanted me to write in-depth and his entire audience loves that type of thing.

But I guess it's whatever audience you're targeting and whatever works for you, keep going with that...

Definitely a mixed review as far as the content went. But hey, it was good enough for Tyler, so that's all that mattered to me. Plus, I got a decent amount of traffic from it. I might consider doing another one.

But I wrote a couple posts on my guest posting experience... Blogging Tips and Custom Banner Designs at 'Dat' Money.com: Guest Posting – Good or Bad for You? and Blogging Tips and Custom Banner Designs at 'Dat' Money.com: Things You Should Consider Before Submitting as a Guest Poster

Definitely right on the money there. I'd say more prefer in-depth but sometimes if I want info quick; if it's long I just X it and look for a more summarized version.

On REALLY long bloggeries I'd recommend an Executive Summary at the very top... Guys like me like to get the "jist" of a long article and go from there. IF I need more info then I do a search for a keyword to see the part that discusses it.

That's just me though.

Someone paid me a fixed amount for a fixed term to have all the adverts / be the only real outbound link from the site. They have run of the site regarding adverts. I guess you could make more doing it individually but if you haven't found a system that' s working for your site some guaranteed income is great when current initiatives weren't really producing anything worth talking about.

Some large sites do it to; If you ever went to Perez Hilton; sometimes you'll notice the wall paper, banners, etc etc are all some TV show. I think that runs ~$40,000 a day!...

Hope that helps,

Hey, I'm not going to lie, I don't want to read a novel either. But then again, I don't want to read something that's less than a paragraph long.

But either way, you should write as long as you want to get your point across. There is no restriction and don't let ANYONE change how you do things.
