Google sending verfification PIN before $50

Hmm this is odd google sent me an email saying that they have noticed I've recently reached $50 and verification is required, however I'm only at around $30. Has this happened to anyone else?

I received the same email and I wasn't sure if it was Spam or not. A few days later I received a card in the mail with a pin number. I logged in to my Adsense account and entered my phone number. Then I received a call and was prompted to enter the pin number from the card.

Yeah that's precisely what happened. I don't understand why they would send it out before you've reached their intended target. Maybe my earnings are so painfully slow they felt sorry for me lol.

LOL! I think some people were scamming the system or phishing accounts so when the cheque came the address had been changed. Just one more step in making sure it's going to the person who owned it I think.

Very interesting. It will be a while before I reach $100 though, unless i get lucky. Adsense is a game of luck in some respects despite what the gurus think.

It's also about targeting niches as expensive and far removed from webmasters as possible.
