I have a number of business owners that I have designed websites and blogs for that are possibly interested in paying someone to post in their blog about their business with links back to their products etc. They see the value of having a business blog but do not have the time to write themselves. What is the going rate for this and where is the best place to find good blog writers?... besides here of course. Thanks |

"Ghostwriting" can have may different fees. It all depends on the content and the person you hire. For example if you hire a medical doctor to write about a strange disease it's alot. Basic stuff shouldn't be too much. If it's on a company blog you will probably have to be more selective with higher quality standards... Also you have to look at the length etc... Hard to say but remember this is the internet so there is NO shortage of supply.

I've got several blogs I'm writing for at the moment, with pay ranging from $5 per post up to $40 per post. For me, it comes down to several things when deciding what jobs to take: Am I interested in the subject matter? How involved will it be? How much time will it take? My $5 per post deals are "buddy deals"...they're for friends of mine...the rest are for a variety of sites, including a company business blog (that's the $40 per post). Having said that, he's right...there is no shortage of folks to write. Just tell your friend to make sure they have a good one. (There are enough people out there that you can be selective.) |

I usually charge between 20 and 50 a post depending on what is required, who the company is, and what they want it to be, a review, buzz, opinion, etc.

20-50 all have 200+ words. The way I pick the price depends on how well the topic fits into my blog, if it is an easy fit I charge less, but if I have to work to make it fit well I charge more. It also depends on how many links they want and if images are required, as well as if they just want a mention or if they want a detailed review of the site or product.

Try eLance. Price around $20-$40 per article. There are also projects for link building $20 per link. Living in UK I could not afford to write article for $20 as it takes me 20h per article including topic research and minimum salary here is £5.35 so I need at least get paid £107 per article or washing dishes could be more efficent here.
