Adsense Pennies

OK, there was a prior thread that I cannot find on how every once in a while adsense seems to flick a penny or two as revenue to you when no ads were actually clicked on your site.

Well, does anyone know how this actually works?

A couple of days ago my site had around 70 page impressions and no revenue (I'm just a poor starving home renovator wannabe ).

Then today, after 2 page impressions I got thrown a penny of revenue. After 3 more page impressions, another penny. After the first 16 page impressions I had a full nickle, still with no ad clicks.

I'll take the pennies and nickles.......I'm just curious how this is figured out (the ex-auditor in me).

I think some adds have a pay-per-thousand-impressions payout rather than a pay-per click. I've seen similar (but cheaper) things on my corollax blog. I think it was a big, colourful banner that payed per impressions rather than clicks.

I've seen 50 cents to around a dollar in a day just from impressions. I'll take everything.

The one thing I wish adsense would give you in reports, is which individual specific ads were clicked so that you could better choose the ones that have the better click through

Exactly, that would be an awesome help to develop your blog. So you know what's the biggest paying niche, etc.

Sometimes I get 1 click and a CPM of 7.50 or something and get $.90 per click. I always wondered where it was from.

I have made $4.15 in adsense the last 4 days. Since I started posting articles daily I see my unique visits have gone up substantialy. I am getting a measly 30-40 uniques and climbing a day. But, I am a newbie bloger. Am I on the right track?
