there are literally tons of different ways to monetize your blog. i take it that you're looking to use Adsense or something similar. It all depends on what your blog is going to be about. depending on what you are blogging about, there are some things I would and wouldn't recommend using. but to name a few:
my fav is blogging about a certain topic and then using affiliate programs and Adsense to make money. Adsense is more of a backup money maker for me. but I know people use things like Widget Bucks, CPA networks, text ads from various affiliate networks, or even pay per post. again it all depends what the goal and theme of your blog is.

1) google it
2) same as 1 3) make sure they can contact you and you let them know you're open to ideas. I find if you are using adsense... ADSDAQ - A New Advertising Exchange from ContextWeb is a great one to couple up with it.

Never heard of ADSDAQ, but after viewing it's web pages it looks very interesting. Have you been using them long? What's your experience with them? Thanks! |

Recently but it makes me an additional few $ a week to add onto adsense. It's cool I recommend it as it loads up when an ad is ready if not just shows your adsense...

Rats.
Unfortunately the smallest size ad is larger than either of my left or right column. So, I can't use them as their smallest ad will stick out (not in a good way) from the site. Oh, well I do like the concept, though.

Hey blogtech, Yep, makes sense. Thanks very much. One would think there would be home building materials suppliers willing to sponsor a blog or two........haven't found one yet. I've started to see the ppp type sites, but all of them seem a bit on the shady side. I haven't found one that seems reputable or that pay more than a dollar or two. Do you know of any that are reputable? I'll check out smorty's. Thank you (sometimes laterly I feel more comfortable with a hammer and paint brush than I do the computer! )
