What's your take on using black hat techniques with blogging? do you use black hat methods?

I used to, long ago, but since found the white hat turns out better results for me and my niche.

To each their own though.

Black hats works if your interested in short term results, for the long term they will just get your blog into trouble.

Can't say it much better then PaulR just did. The internet is still in it's infancy. Most blogs that exist today if worked on diligently could be a big player in the future in its niche. Work on it in accordance with the TOS of SE's and enjoy the results.

thanks for the input guys. i agree. black hatting is great for short term money or for getting sites ranked fast, but in the long term, only white hat sites prevail really. i actually use both and have succes with both. i just want to get other people's take on it. thanks guys.

I completely agree with PaulR and Bloggeries. Besides, there are plenty of white hat methods that, although they may require a bit more work, can you get tons of legitimate backlinks.
