Well, here's my point.

3 visitors had the audio ads. It earned me a whole penny. So each add is generating revenue of less than a penny per ad.

What is it costing me in lost visitors to Ben's point (and others earlier) that many / some visitors will never go back to a site with audio ads. And, of those how many will have clicked ads upon their return? At least with PPC adsense I am getting around 30 to 50 cents per click.

Yes, the power is in the 'commission' struture which is really, let's be honest now, a multi-level marketing scheme. Bloggeries is out to make money. Did Bloggeries give us the link in the very first post without it's own code attached? No. The Bloggeries code was attached so anyone, including myself, who signed up are making money for Bloggeries. Which is OK if your site is focused on making money.

My site is not. My site is about home reno's and home energy conservation. So, no, I'm not going to publicize PPP and have people use my link with my code to join as that would be out of context for my site.

I have to say that this PPP revenue is a very, very, very low payout. No wonder they never mentioned the amount of the payout in any of their marketing materials. If they had, how many of us would have joined. And, they keep pushing back and pushing back the true, final, real, start of this which is very annoying.

Now they are saying it will be at least another 2 weeks out before they are fully ramped up. And then what? To me, they haven't earned credibility yet.

I may stay or I may leave the PPP program if they don't get their act together and get the reveue per ad more than less than a penny per ad.

We should just not sugar coat it. Let's just be real about it.

I'm not sure if there is a problem with my ads or I'm not being served yet because no clips are being played right now, however when I test it I hear the white noise. I have stats now but no income yet, probably because the clips are not playing.

I think they are not displaying ads for all unique visits..

But looks promising is they can start delivering ads all unique hits on my sites..

Already up to $2

Hey kiviniar,
What is your revenue per ad? Is it like mine which is 1/3 of a penny per ad?

Thanks!
Dan

I never say no to new opportunities. Pay Per Play I will surely test it but for the moment, I will just sit and see the progress on other blogs.

I see what you are saying; basically now only 100,000 ads out a day to ALL members so it should increse. You have to decide what is best for your site. All different sites have different strategies. That's why I'm not running it on this forum because it would not be worth it however others have websites and blogs where it would be ok. Revenue from first day is too early to ye or ne a program soley on a profit standpoint.

Also remember most are contextual; hence a medica site WOULD earn more then say a general blog about life.

Not all opportunities are good for all people.

That being said I"M STOKED!

People are already making money and it's a TINY portion of future ads so it looks promising.

Bottom line; do what is best for your site! If this is something that could work then try it; if not remove it.

If you want to run on your blog but not sure ; do a poll maybe? If you have a marketing / make money blog; signup and let others know. There is opportunity for everyone.

Regarding affiliates... I try to ALWAYS signup under WHOEVER told me about it. What's the cost to me? 0!!! It costs me nothing to sign under someone who told me. I believe in Karma and try and do onto others as I would like them to do onto me.

Let's see what happens; I'll check my stats again soon just I'm at a hotel on their cafe computer and the key sticking; frankly I can't believe I typed this much!

My stats are as such: $1.83 for 540 ads displayed

If they start serving ads for all the unique hits then that would be a decent $3.38 eCPM
I am earning lesser with adsense

Personally I think that Play Per Play income will improve once once their ad portfolio increases in number.

The plus point is that they need no space and are like an added income, so I am cool with them

If you have considerable amount of traffic and some space to spare on your webpages then you could try out Voxant, they also pay on CPM

I have reviewed them here

Make Money Online with Kiviniar » Review: Voxant The News Room

My 3 days stats, they seems to be reporting every ad impression and I plan to use them more aggressively (have installed them only on 3 sites to begin with, takes a considerable amount of space)

Video Revenue: $0.00 (0 Ad Imps.)
Image Revenue: $7.46 (7459 Ad Imps.)
Text Revenue: $6.24 (6241 Ad Imps.)
Video Feed Revenue: $0.85 (282 Ad Imps.)
Total Earnings: $14.55

Hope this helps

I don't know how I feel about pay per play. The concept is nice obviously, but what I'd like to know is about what percentage would people be so turned away from PPP that you would lose traffic...which would be of importance if you want your visitors to come back. I'm kind of leaning towards to negative side of PPP more than the positive due to my "anti-marketing" background (since it plays automatically, it's rather evasive which you don't want if you do anti-marketing). I will give this a try on one of my blogs though since I signed up a while ago, and see how it pans out.

I listen to Digitally Imported Radio - Free Internet Radio Stations | DI.fm all the time when I'm online; every now and then they have adverts and I'm so conditioned to it from television I don't care; I either block them out or hear them process them and frankly it doesn't bother me at all.
