You have a valid point Ben. But, have you ever noticed the 10,000's Adsence sites? The only reason that the sites are up in the 1st place is to have visitors click an Adsence.

The content on these sites is nondescript at best. So what is the difference between the "Auto-Audio" and an "Adsence" site?

Actually, (IMO ) the only ones actually making any real money with Adsence sites are Google, and the ones that sold the program to make the Adsence sites.

The losers are the advertisers and the ones that own the sites.

Will the Auto-Audio sites be any different. Probably not. However, if you're lucky enough to get in the door 1st then you might just make a couple of bucks.

As I've mentioned it's at pre-launch and a new type of service that I haven't seen previously. I'm willing to signup and see where it takes me. I hope it has smart technology to register if it's played an add to that visitor before if not just put it on certain pages. We'll have to see but with nothing to lose and only possible gains I am curious to see how it pans out.

I wonder if there are any studies relating to the portion of internet users who have their speakers on vs off when they are on the internet?

Has anyone seen such a study?

It would also be interesting not just the % based on absolute numbers of internet users but also such differentiators such as:

• by duration on a web page
• by duration online
• by type of page / niche
• by experienced / novice internet user
• and so on

If anyone has come across such a study, it would be great to get the link / low down.

I don't see how having AdSense ads are a loss for site owners. There is no charge to have them and they actually bring life to the sites. I am a graphic designer but its much faster for me to copy and paste the html from their ads than designing my own animated banners. Hey, If I only make $20 in a year thats $20 I didn't have. No offense....
