It's obviously not appropriate for all types of sites. I'm obviously not going to put it in the forum footer unless it's smart enough to load only once per day lol. However for a homepage on certain types it is a valid money maker if this program turns out to be what it says it will and I'm interested to see it's potential.

Hey Rob,

A few questions on this if I may:

1. is Adsense & Blogger OK with this? I wouldn't want to upset them and have them take back my tiny Adsense revenue?

2. If the site visitor does not have their sound on, would they still generate revenue for the site?

3. what type of $ are we talking about here, any idea?

4. would the sound only be on the main page or if a visitor clicked a 'label' which took them to a page showing posts related to that topic, would the audio ad again occur?

1) Adsense yes no idea about blogger but don't see why not.
2) I'd assume yes.
3) Depends on the ads just like adsense... Medical commercials probably worth more than a pizza one.
4) Depends which page you encode. Just main page is a great idea. Not 100% sure but I think it would remember IP's for 24 hours.

It's being launched in Feb 2008. This is pre-launch. We'll have to see then but no harm in signing up ahead of time to keep up to speed. Sounds interesting to me.

I tend to agree. Seems like a no loose situation.

However, the ex-auditor in me is suspicious.

If something looks too good to be true........ etc.

But, did that prevent me from signing up????

Pre-Launch so I'm just waiting to see what happens at this point.

I inquired about the program at a couple of other blogger forums and so far the limited feedback is.....negative.

They thought that one nice thing about blogs (vs TV) is that it is audio commercial free. As well, they thought that it would drive traffic away.

Not saying I agree or disagree, just thought I would summarize their thoughts for y'all.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Also look at what their blogs are and their style of advertising then weigh all pros and cons before coming up with your own conclusion. Their are nay sayers for everything. I think it has great potential and am looking forward to the launch.

That being said A LOT of people are quite interested in it. Check out this alexa traffic growth...

Welcome aboard from one member to another.

I see this is your first post. You should post in the introductions thread as well as in the thread where we can look at your blog and provide feedback.

Both are very useful. The folks here are just super and very helpful with my own blog as it continues to evolve. Rob keeps nagging me to change my template to a left side margin type.......and I will over the holidays. This weekend, however, I am playing with creating slide shows that I can enter not only in my blog's main page but also on YouTube....I got my first one there this evening I'm also playing with the Adsense YouTube revenue generation option as well.

I'm not an official bloggeries dude, but on behalf of the rest of us welcome aboard.
