Default Adsense questions

I'm trying to install adsense adds to my blog, but I would really rather prefer targeted adds to do with my topic. It seems that the googlebot has to crawl my pages before Ic an get any contest-related adds. How long does this take?

I can't seem to change the color of the other links to suit my theme, which is annoying. Do I have to have the adsense code somewhere in my blog for google to figure out what content is appropriate, or can I just wait?

Default Re: Adsense questions

I just started 6 weeks ago oru blog and seemed to recall it took over a full week for my Adsense account to be setup once I applied for it (if applied is the right word).

I have to say that the ads are scaringly targeted both geographic ads related to where user's are located as well as related to the content. For example, I had a post in the blog about the billiard table and how it needed moving and releveling. I went back later in the day and what do I see but an Adsense ad by the same company who did the moving and re-leveling of that very table, even though I did not mention them at all in the post nor do I indicate where we live.

Hope that helps.
