Default Affiliate Advertising for Blogs

I make money with my coupon code blog and website through affiliated marketing programs.

There are thousands of companies that are willing to give you 1%-40% for every sale made through your site.

Here is a good example for anyone having a car related blog.

MotorMint Model Cars

If someone clicked on this links and bought a model car from MotorMint I would get 30% of this sale and any future purchases this customer made for up to 1 year. This is an extreme example but it shows that there is lots of money to be made online through affiliated advertising.

I would be happy to help anybody break into the market. You do not need to go full blown as I have but you could advertise specific products and services that are a good match to your blogs theme and make some money doing it.

Here are some of the major players in the affiliated marketing management scene.

Commission Junction - A Global Leader in Affiliate Marketing, Online Advertising and Search Engine Marketing
LinkShare | Affiliate Marketing, Search Marketing, ROI Tracking. Global E-commerce Solutions.
Performics - Search Engine Marketing and Affiliate Marketing Strategies - DoubleClick Performics
Affiliate Marketing Network with Different Solutions | LinkConnector
shareasale.com

If anybody is interested let me know, and fyi I don't make a cut on the referral.

That die cast car site is cool. I dont want to say i collect them, but i own quite a few. I was thinking about it for a niche site.

I use amazon and a few other affiliates on one of my sites, which are getting hits - but that's it, i.e. no one seems to purchase anything. Maybe other bloggers don't want to actually buy products from someone else's blog or site...

I think it all depends on your niche. If it's webmasters then no they won't as they know the scoop. Others just looking for information probably won't hesitate. Webmaster related blogs - high traffic and potential but not easy to make the $$$.

Some of our publishers at Triggit are having a lot of success with the Shopping.com affiliate program. Right now they are paying some really good PPC rates of up to a buck a click. If your content is right and your readers will click through to look at products it can be a really good earner.

How much content/density should one have before applying adsense or some other program? I am not trying to generate serious income, but it would be nice to off-set the cost of the webhost.

You don't need to meet any standard. For adsense, Triggit, or any of the affiliate programs you can have little content and no traffic. The great thing about such programs is that you can start small and experiment and grow with them.

Good luck.
