My tips on how to earn more in 2012

Hi everyone, I wanted to share some tips on how to earn more in 2012.

1. Trial and error, test market specific ads and keep the ones that convert. This could take 4 to 6 months but it's a great way to test what will and will not sell on your blog.

2. Research your blogging audience. Try and pick affiliate products that meet your readers market. Make sure you pick products that they will be interested in purchasing. For example if you blog about blogging make sure to have affiliate programs for themes, templates, modules and plugins like comment luv.

3. Don't overdue the ad space. Pick a few select ads to run and do not over crowd the area with Google ads and others. Make sure to set aside specific relater to market and promote your affiliates. You do not want one ads out shining the others. Make it work by using fewer ads.

4. I know it sounds odd but producing consistent and quality content will lead to more ad sales. Give people reason to visit your blog. This is so important. Write exciting articles about your affiliate products and include affiliate links with in the articles content.

5. Drive traffic, SEO optimize your blog, submit your content to Blog Engage, blokube, Digg, BlogInteract and get your content seen and in front of other bloggers. It's so important to drive traffic as you know without traffic you have no sales.

How could that sound _odd_? Is it odd that television programs try to be good to get more viewers? Is it odd that newspapers try to have exciting headlines? How could it possibly be _odd_ that a site whose value, to the reader, is content, will do better if the content is _good_?

Do bloggers think that their readers visit their sites to _read the ads_? Do they think that their readers care, the least tiniest smallest scintilla of a bitty little bit, _about_ the ads? The readers care about the content!

You posted some good tips. I think optimizing the blog as well as providing good content will pay off in the long run.
