Text Link Ad - where, how..?

Hi there,

I recently decided to monetize my blog a bit. I'm just looking for steady income (don't we all!), but I don't plan to make a fortune out of it.

Anyway, Pay Per Post rejected my blog (because it wasn't 100% in English... well, I guess two posts in Chinese and about 10 in French is too much for them, out of a hundred post !). Which is fine, cause I don't really feel like using it.

So, I'm looking into Text link ads... I signed up with a company but it's obviously not the right one for me: I don't like the way they do business (no FAQ, no price - you discover it after you accept the link, threaten me to cancel my account because they can't see the link even though it's live and on my blog...)

Anyway, if you know any good website, I'd appreciate a referral ! I'm lost here, too many websites and way too many aren't trustworthy !

You should also give Triggit a try. You can create intext ads just by highlighting a word or product in your post with your mouse. Its a super easy way to create ads and make a little bit off your posts.

Triggit is a tool for placing links to Amazon and Comission Junction. Both to them will pay you when one of your users clicks on a link and then buys something. They pay you so you'll need to sign up with them. I would start with Amazon. Its the easiest and clearest. Plus your users will be comfortable buying from Amazon. Using the Triggit tool you can place the links to Amazon really easily.

In response to you thread above, where you place your ads is a balance. You need your users to see them if they are going to make you any money. Thats why evil popups worked so well. But if you annoy your users they will all go away, which is also bad. It tricky but I am sure you'll figure it out.

I agree with Zach. You should definitely give Amazon a try. With the topics you discuss on your blog, you could find books that would fit in nicely. And triggit is really cool too!

I am not sure if I understand what do you mean with text ads. Do you mean something like google adsense? If this is the case I can propose you Bidvertiser.com. They pay you per click (so do not expect a lot of money), but at list it is not a scam.

About payperpost, I think you are lucky they reject your post. I am not kidding... I am working for a few months with them and I tend to believe that this is a scam. I happened to me (not only once) to make a post and after 1 month -or maybe more- they rejected without any obvious reason. So, I made the post, have it in my blog for 1 month (free advertisment for them) and then they rejected it. Anyways, it's just not fair....
Instead of payperpost I am now working with sponsored reviews and from there I am making almost all the money that I make online. I like it, because they credit your account instantly when you submit the post and they pay every two weeks.

I am insisting on the issue of paid reviews, because steady income is too difficult to achieve only through text ads.

Ive been using amazon text links in my posts for sometime but Ive stopped recently because although I get plenty of clicks, I never get any conversions lol.

I feel the same away about the Wordtracker ad up top. Lot's of impressions, still lots of clicks but no conversions.
