Default Amazon Affiliates

Amazon associates seems like a cool idea to add into a blog. I like that you're able to pick what item you want to advertise and you can even link them to words directly in the blog post. Just wondering if anyone hear has had more time experimenting with it as I've just started a few days ago. Thanks!

Been using amazon on/off for a few years without any real success. But now I'm going to intensify it a bit. Apparently for real success I just read you need to do comprehensive product reviews, add a basic image and text links (without widgets) and try rank up on the search results. And you need to try list benefits for selling rather than just pure information...

I've been a member of Amazon Affiliates for a while, without much success. I may have been using it the wrong way though, and since I've resolved to doing some product reviews and game reviews of things I like, I figure I'll stick my affiliate links into those posts and see if I end up having more success.

I am going to try to use it to plug good books and dvds in my niche for people to buy. I dunno if it's going to work or not but it's worth a shot.

I recently joined the affiliates program. They sheer number of products you can link to initially had me very interested, but as the other replies have suggested, it's certainly not easy to convert viewers into sales. I haven't had any success either, but it's something I'll continue to work with.

I write a lot of film and music reviews, by way of using my blog to put things out that are published elsewhere or in print. Will that suffice to make something from Amazon affiliates? How much traffic would I need for it to work?

I have been an amazon affiliate for a few years now and initially struggled with it. The main limitation is the 24 hour cookie so you have to either be really selective about hat you promote or have a pretty nifty presell

But with more time and experience, it rocks. Absolutely amazing the strength a name you know has
