How long did it take you to get your first Google Adsense Check?

Yes, you won't receive a check until it reaches $100.

After over 3 years, I'm only at $68.52. But I'm patient. Obviously I'm not blogging as my main source of income.

From what I've heard it can take a while to start earning any sort of substantial income with adsense. Some people can get very lucky and hit a niche topic that instantly throws their blog in the stratosphere but for most of us it's about working hard to promote your blog. And hope eventually you get the clicks you need for profit.

My first check came 4 years ago. Until now I received 5-6 of them. This is not good, especially since Text link ads or linkworth paid me hundreds of dollars/month for the same sites. I now use Adsense just to fill some space, but my "money" is on other systems.
