How to find a sponsor for my blog?

You should have an about us page, and on that page should be your info about advertising and sponsorship opportunities along with contact info

When your blog keeps popping up on page #1 of google web search and google blog search for just about every related search phrase the advertiser enters into google's search box, you'll get advertising enquiries

I had to state on the about us page of my primary blog site that I don't sell links, participate in link exchanges or cpa programs - as I get so many enquiries

I got an enquiry yesterday (through my primary site about us page) from a major player who say they want to spend a lot of money advertising on my site and have an "unlimited" advertising budget - whoopee!

There are various sponsors though... there are advertisers who want to pay for a blog review or purchase ads on your site then there are ones who like to sponsor gifts/prizes for your readers in exchange for mentioning them.

In any event, the bigger you get, the more you'll find people getting in touch with you. You could of course look for advertisers and take some initiative in contacting them. You can either sign up for a third party company like buysellads.com or go to similar blogs in your niche and check out their sponsors, click through and see if those people want to advertise on your site too.

More than likely if your site gets good traffic, I don't see why they wouldn't want to especially given the fact that they advertised on the same blog niche you found them from.

You could try joining affiliate networks and promote high street products to begin with - see commission junction or trade doubler.

The best way to get sponsors, is to make sure that your blog is the best and they will come to you. Unless you really need to the money then

I would add a ads program to your site and make sure on your contact page that there is away for advertisers to contact you.

You're not allowed to show ads on a free Wordpress.com blog. One alternative is to switch over to Blogger (.blogspot free blog) where you can use Google Adsense and other ad programs.

If you seriously hope to make actual money in the long run, though, you should invest in your own domain and install wordpress on that. It's not easy to profit, but good luck!
