I think the biggest obstacle new bloggers have is the commitment to do more for their blog in order to earn more income. That being the case, researching keywords is 'my' next step and probably the step all bloggers should do! So the question is: how do I get started with this task? What resources, etc. If SEO pros are selling keywords or phrases to bloggers, why can't we do it ourselves and save the money which means more money in our pocket? Guidance (for a new blogger like me) is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Please visit my site as well - glenn magas dot com comments are encouraged! |

There's nothing to stop you buying the same software the SEO pros buy, or subscribing to the same paid online services they are members of - or spending about a year learning about keyword research - but in that time you could be building sites and earning advertising revenue instead, by using bought in keyword lists Also by buying in a list, you avoid the common mistake of having to re-theme your sites at a later date, when you realize you got your keyword research all wrong - the right keywords are vital, and it's best to get things right at the outset, rather than spending a great deal of time trying to fix things at a later date |

There is so many options for you to do keyword research and some are better than others. Those willing to buy tools usually have easier access but there's always free options as well. I guess it all depends on which way you want to do it. You can use the Google Keyword tool like others mentioned as well as Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool and Wordtracker. But it's not about finding random keywords that get searched for a lot, it's about finding the best keywords with the LEAST about of competition. |

Google keyword tool all the way for me. It's FOC and does appear to have some good perception. Mixed with Google Analytics you can do the research on your keyword results as well.
